Character Name: Maclin "Mac" Dasyus

Character's Kindred Animal & Appearance: Tiger Quoll - 24 years old, ~5'7", ~180 lbs, stocky, muscular build. Reddish-brown hair, and a wash of the same color down his back on his skin studded with white spots. Long, furry tail of the same color, including the white spots, which is not prehensile. Feet have thicker callouses that almost look like pads, and longer toes which mean he can climb quickly and easily. Small, rounded ears perch high on his head. The front of his body is noticeably paler than his back, with an uneven line along his sides and tucking around to the insides of his thighs. Sharp teeth, clipped claw-nails, some scars on his arms, legs, and chest, but they're old for the most part and are from animals, not weapons.

Character's Culture or Faction: N/A. He's a lone wanderer that is still looking for a place he's interested in settling in. He has traveled with Adsincani in the past, but doesn't really consider himself to be one of them. He is not a primarchist or a templar, and vehemently denies being a bandit. (If he found them, he might have been a good candidate for the Edgewalkers.)

Character's Talents or Occupation: Ranger/Tracker. He's good at identifying tracks, following them, trapping and killing game, using weapons (bow, sling, javelin, dagger) or his sharp teeth to bring down prey. He skins and butchers his kills, and sells the hide, feathers, and meat which he does not need when he comes to the next town. He has also been known to hire on as a caravan guard if he needs to travel through an area where there's been a recent flux storm. He has a very keen sense of smell.

Backstory: Born to a group of traders (not Adsincani) who made their way back and forth between towns, Mac learned how to be helpful to the caravan at a very young age. His caravan was friends with and had hired a particular lodestone magi to help guide them, so he's familiar with them and is on good terms with them, but he never had the talent to become a mage. Instead he found that he had a talent for moving quietly, and good accuracy with a bow and throwing weapons. He was quickly assigned to help forage and bring back food and game for the caravan. At fifteen, his caravan was caught on the edge of a flux storm. They couldn't escape. A couple were able to dig down under a rock shelf and close up the tunnel behind them. It wasn't big enough for everyone, but they were able to save about a quarter of the caravan members, mostly younger folk. When they emerged again most of the goods were ruined, only one wagon was salvageable, none of the dinosaurs were left, and they were forced to fight a few of their mutated family members in order to keep everyone safe. They brought the survivors back to the last town and there most of the remainder stayed. But Mac wasn't suited to sitting still and remaining in one place on the plains. He worked enough to be able to get himself some weapons and supplies, and a small riding dinosaur and headed out to try and find where he belonged. He doesn't know where that is, or even what he's looking for, but he hasn't found it yet.

Personality: Mac is quiet. Too quiet. He's been on his own long enough now that he's not entirely sure how to properly communicate with people anymore, so he banks on short, infrequent sentences to get the job done. He's as solid as his build suggests, making decisions on his own terms and sticking too them. You're not likely to change his mind once he's made it up. Despite his sometimes imposing appearance, he is very gentle, and very protective - especially of children. Even if he hasn't been hired to do so, he won't sit back and watch if something attacks - odds are he'll have figured out something is coming and be the first one out there to defend against it, whether that's a bandit attack, a flux mutant, or a predator. As noted, he grows restless easily. He likes the idea of a family, and often tends to linger where he can watch one or maybe awkwardly befriend one? But he hasn't found anyone to become mates with. That said, he certainly doesn't mind having sex. He tends to be a little more dominant of a personality in bed, taking the lead and making a point of his partner's pleasure before his own, but not sacrificing himself, just making sure they have a good time.

Reaction to being trapped by a flux storm: At first he was shaken, and did a lot of pacing, checking on people, making sure the exits were sealed and there was no way a mutant was appearing among them. Afterward he helped to set up defenses and set about organizing an area for the animals and a kitchen and butchery on the other side of the circle away from the beasts. He offered his services as a butcher and guard, but as things are settling down, he's getting more and more antsy and restless. He almost always seems to be around when someone's talking about exploring.

Goals: A kink list. I want to explore a more tactile person working out how he feels about these people and finding a place to fit in. I want to see him develop close relationships where he feels less constrained to be quiet, enabling him to show how he trusts people by talking more openly. He is 900% going exploring, and I want to see if I can get better at writing combat scenes. In addition it would be nice to have him figure out if he wants a monogamous relationship or a polyamorous one or if he just wants to be mateless.
